36 hr Wilderness Survival
This course is designed to establish a foundation of solid wilderness self-reliance methods and techniques in which your skillset can be built upon. This class is a 2-day and /or weekend course that focuses on the first 72 hours of a wilderness emergency situation. Class begins on the morning of day 1 at 8:00am and ends on the evening of day 2 with the night between being spent in camp or a field.
This is NOT a weekend camping trip. You may undertake lengthy wooded hikes with loaded packs. Traveling and camping with minimal gear is highly recommended.
This class is limited to 10 students per session.
Certificates will be issued at the completion of the course we offer.

• Gear / clothing / pack
• Water procurement and treatment
• Tool safety
• Fire lays, fire methods
• shelter methods
• Situational awareness
• Basic camp knots
• Maintaining core temperature
• Rescue signaling / SAR response
• Intro to land navigation and practical exercises
• Intro to basic wilderness medical procedures.
Items needed for class:
• 50ft. of Paracord
• Baseplate style compass
• Stainless steel water bottle
• Food
• Camping gear / bedding for 1 night
• Tarp 10’x1-‘ or smaller
• Quality fixed blade knife 4”-5”
• Folding saw
• Notepad and pencil
• Rain gear or poncho
• Headlamp / flashlight
• Ferro rod
• BIC lighter
All items must be packable and able to be carried at all times.
